Untold Legend of the Batman - because it was the first one I remember reading and my dad actually brought the first two issues home from a business trip.

DKR - still re-read it almost annually.

300, and a oddball 12 issue series called The World's Greatest Comic Magazine. It was a 2001 celebration of Kirby's Fantastic four, with different modern artists contributing a few pages each issue. Mixed results, as you would expect, but it also occasionally managed to recapture the magic!

Batman Judge Dredd.

It's like too very similar characters, except judge Dredd is in a martial Law city, whereas Batman is dishing out his own brand of justice.

FTR: My favorite's probably Kingdom Come.

The Dark Knight Returns is definitely up there. Watchmen is up there. Marvels is up there.

I figured you like KC as you changed your avatar

all those you named are great!

I will add Secret Wars

Crisis

Wolverine Claremont/Miller

Secret Wars is another good one.

Kingdom Come was my intro to Alex Ross. Some of the best art I've ever seen complimented by great storytelling.

It's a magnetic mini-series.

Watchmen

Black Dragon

I suppose Cerebus doesn't count, even though it was conceived as a 300 issue limited series.

There an Alan Moore "Supreme" tradepaperback that is phenomenal. I'm not sure if it was a mini series or  published in the series. It's 12 issues long.

I loved this one - Epic's 1987 Marshal Law.  6 issue limited series.  Great social commentary and art.  A super hero who hates other superheroes because they are all going crazy and becoming power hungry.

Yes! Great limited set @lordisam- I also Enjoyed Marshal Law as well, and all the 1 shot TPBs, and Law in Hell vs Pinhead from Hellraiser ( 2 issue mini)

I Need to reread all these. 👍

Limited aka contained series.

Can't be something like Detective Comics Knightfall, because 'Tec is an ongoing series. Or Death of Superman, etc.

Something like Watchmen, or Justice, which are defined limited titles.

Does Cerebus count?

That's 25 issues, correct?

Doesn't fit this particular thread (I set the limit at 12, just arbitrarily chosen).
