Much like we have one for ComicConnect, we should have one for Heritage.

I like the idea of having all discussions bundled into a single thread. Makes things so much easier to research later on.

We can kick this thread off with Heritage auction August 2019

Not even close, unless they've got another multi-million dollar painting in this auction.  It takes a LOT of six-figure books to equal ONE $5m painting.

I don't blame you.   Its nothing that special.    I like the eyes and the gaze, but it doesn't quite do the job.

Contrary to what seems to be popular opinion, when it comes to painted pieces in particular, many pieces by big name artists kinda suck, and many no name artists have a good day and make a great piece here and there.

If you are referring to the PLOD label, it was a definite killer for these books since it served only to lump even the slightly restored books in all together with the extensively and much heavily restored books.  doh!  :censored:

This was CGC's way of giving some much deserved life back to these books in terms of counteracting the unintended consequences of the very negative stigmatism that became associated with the PLOD label when they implemented them.  (thumbsu

Well, well, well.................this book here definitely looks very enticing to me:

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Startling Comics #10 Mile High Pedigree (Better Publicatio...

Especially since ANY copy of this seemingly HTF key GA book hardly ever makes its way into the marketplace, let alone the Church copy.  :cloud9:
