Steelrain41 121 posts Posted July 3 I really love the series that were started in 1968. Cap 100 in particular is one of my favorite and they're more affordable than some of the other keys. Hopefully I'll be able to add a Iron Man 1 and Sub-mariner 1 in a few months. 3 Shoomanfoo, PopKulture and ComicConnoisseur reacted to this
BrooksR 77 posts Posted July 5 I’ve been looking for a silver surfer #1 mid grade but they’re getting expensive 🙁 I’ve always wanted one since I was in high school in the 90’s. That’s a good looking Hulk. Some of these like the Nick Fury get no love and are surprisingly affordable compared to the others. 🤷♂️ 1 jason4 reacted to this

It's pretty high on my list before he pops up in the MCU and the price goes even higher.
BrooksR 77 posts Posted July 6 I would also love to have that Captain America, what a great cover! All the silver age books are steadily creeping out of my price range, even in lower grades. At least I get to see the ones on the board 🙂 1 KirbyJack reacted to this

KirbyJack 8,288 posts Posted July 8 Maybe I’m weird, but I’ve always preferred the series’ starts; for example, Tales To Astonish 60 for Hulk, 70 for Subby, Tales Of Suspense 59 for Cap. These books don’t seem to be getting love these days, and they’re cheaper! 4 1950's war comics, Unca Ben, gunsmokin and 1 other reacted to this

I need to get my TOS 59 cleaned. 2 Azkaban and KirbyJack reacted to this

jcjames 3,356 posts Posted July 16 Cool group! 1968 was quite the explosion of titles. I'm missing Subby, Doctor Strange and Iron Man: 2 Shoomanfoo and southern cross reacted to this
shadroch 42,482 posts Posted July 17 When I had my shop, people were willing to spend good money on Iron Man 2 but not Hulk 103. Nor Captain America 102. Tales to Astonish and Tales of Suspense were dead, especially the later issues. I tried explaining that Hulk 103 is the second issue of the title, just like Iron Man 2 is the second book in that title. You'd think you were breaking the HRN code from Classics or something. 1 1 KirbyJack and MGsimba77 reacted to this

I had no idea that Hulk 102 relaunched his solo stories until a few months ago. I think the way they kept the numbering system going from TOS and TTA hurt those titles. Same with Dr Strange 169.
