    • Appreciation of the story / art / character
    • Nostaglia/ Sentimental reasons
    • Value/ Investments
    • Because its cool and someone might have told you to
    • to embrace your inner nerd/geek/comic culture

"What is your reason for buying a comic" Comic, correct? not Title. My impulse often is based on cover art or something new and different. Really just cause something said Wow to me, an impulse.

it was a joke because you used a word that is also the title of a comic...

You only collect that title?!?!?

He just loves the character. It doesn't have to be only his own title.

But I guess he was disappointed with the name change.

That's it. They give me pleasure to own. None of your poll categories seemed quite right for me.

I think the appreciation one is what your looking for it means because you like them for story art character etc..

In many cases, yes. But I also have comics where the historical factor trumps any story or art (some of them aren't great in that respect). See some of the war bonds GA books in my gallery linked in my sig, for example. With others I love the story and art. So it's not a one size fits all.

I mostly buy trades/hardcovers because that’s my favorite way to read comics and I love the way they look on shelves.

I wouldn’t mind continuing with this, but no more space left before the collection begins to spread around and turn into an obtrusive hoard.

Another reason I switched to the digital format.
