Newb Grading Question 0

When submitting my first comic for grading. How do I know the value of the comic grading, it ranges from 100-3000 value?. Do I base it off other comics on eBay

you can put whatever value you like CGC will move it up a tier if you under valued it. It's used for Insurance purposes so I generally put the money I would want back if the book is lost or damaged, etc.. so put whatever your comfortable with. Also note that the higher value declared value will not go lower if the value is lower. Keep in mind that the price paid for grading also goes off this value.

If you post pics of the book in the "Hey Buddy, Can You Spare A Grade" section you can get an approximate grade which will help you determine value.

+1, just put whatever amount you'd want back if the book was damaged or lost. It's only for insurance purposes.

I use the raw value of the book based on the current grade. You can get raw values at Comics Price Guide or latest Overstreet guide.
