Which Books Are Imprinted on this Detective Comics #27? 0

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you with photographic GA memory could help me solve this mystery.

This copy of Detective Comics #27 suffered what appears to be water damage, leaving the imprint of other comics on both the front and back cover.

I’ve flipped the images of the Detective Comics #27 to match up with the other comics once in contact with this one.

I’m pretty confident, based on the “95” and “WITH” on the front cover, that it’s the imprint of a Detective Comics #28 or Action Comics #13 back cover. I’ve attached an image of a Detective Comics #28 back cover for comparison.

The imprint on the back cover has been tougher for me to match. One would assume it to be the imprint of another comic book front cover, but it may not be.

Any ideas?

A fellow boardie has a Tec #30 that has similar paper-loss and staining. 

It sure looks like the Tec #27 BC has the imprint of “a” Tec #30 FC.

However, despite the similarities, this Tec #30 FC appears to have remnants of a different BC attached to its FC.

Here is a comparison of that Tec #30 FC and the full interior BC of a different Tec #27.

The Tec #27 BC sure seems to have the imprint of “a” Tec #30 FC. 

Perhaps there were multiple Tec #30s in a stack with the Tec #27, that suffered water damage on a newsstand, or in a basement, etc.

A year or two ago that exact Tec 27 back cover was graded by itself and for sale on eBay for $10K best offer. Not sure if it sold though. This has no bearing on the conversation but just pointing it out haha.

I own the BC, which is why I’m interested in the imprint.
