With great help from Microchip and picon3 I was able to complete the only 9.8 set of the Deathlok Astonishing Tales first run.

Thats really great to see.  I was never able to come close to completing the high grade run.  They're classics of the era.  Congrats!

I couldn't have done it without you! Thank you!

I'm happy to have helped, it really is good to see them all in one place.   Rich Buckler is too under appreciated, showcase your set (thumbsu

This collection will stay with me till my last dying breath.

I totally agree that Rich Buckler is too underappreciated, Seems Marvel had him doing lots of books and covers at the same time. He was spread out a little too much but still did amazing work. Funny it was Jack Kirby who recommended Rich to Stan Lee and Rich wound up working just as hard as Jack. Have you seen Rich Bucklers paintings?  I think they are amazing.

And Rich brought George Perez in.   Thats quite a linage right there.

Feel free to share the paintings.   His work on your books was earliest, and some might say, most inspired work

Jim,

That is a feat that I doubt will be repeated! (thumbsu

And what a wonderful display to see them all in one picture.

Congratulations and take a much deserved bow.

Agree that Buckler was outstanding and under appreciated.  His private works after he retired are incredible.

Met him only one time in 1996 @ Heroes Con.  Great guy.  Paul

Had an arranged meeting with Rich at a Rail Station in 2000.  Exchanged cash for  a commission.  In person he was much taller than one would guess from his penciled artwork.  (my poor attempt at a Groucho Marx type quip)
