A nice lot of 3 Serenades I got in this week, a later incarnation of The Illustrated Love Magazine (companion to Illustrated Detective/Mystery and The New Movie Magazine in the Tower line, sold for a dime at and published by Woolworth's).  They're a little grubby but holding together nice, and the insides are white as can be

I saw that one in the HA Pulp Summit, a unique Love Story cover for sure.

Is Greenwood mentioned on the contents page as the artist?  I know him only from the girlie pulps, and checking at Galactic Central just now, am surprised to see no other attributions outside of the girlies except for some interior illos in Love Story all in 1931 (eight years previous to this one).

A couple of my copies of Greenwood covers (AFAIK he only worked on Henry Marcus pubs (50 dollars a cover?) in the mid-30s.

He is listed as the artist but wasn't around very long only 43 years in this world.

Love pulp?  Heaven knows I don't want to set any delicate personalities on edge by bandying the term around, but I'd say so :D

Not actually in my physical collection, but a fellow scanner picked this up for me and sent me the raw scans to skirt the international shipping costs, as I like the cover (artist unknown).  Twice a month schedule, the Miracle Library from Fleetway looks to be a mix of romance and crime or suspense:

Miracle Library 0241 - I'll Share Your Danger (1959.Fleetway) cover (Darwin Edit)

This cover is cool.  It reminds me somewhere between a Ziff Davis cover and a foreign 50's movie poster.  I know that's random, but between what I collect it's how my mind works.

The above looks similar to the Sexton Blake detective series I've been collecting. Also were published twice a month. Here's my newest: June 1961. The 64-page booklets are easy on shelf space...

I've fought the urge to hit the BIN on quite a few of these lately. There's a lot of cool looking covers but soooo many issues, I'd probably not be able to stop! :canofworms:
