I responded to your post before reading all the following ones...I apologize as well. You didn't offend me and I'm glad it all worked out.

You can be my favorite testosterone laden comic-collector wink.gif....hmmm...that sounds a little off. wink.gifgrin.gif

Smells like shilling to me, Phil

I thought so too. I offered him $75 on one particular lot that I wanted, I thought it was a pretty generous offer, but as you will see he was practically offended.I got an E-Mail from him earlier that said

I really don't want to sell privatley i tried that before and it always

seems to wind up me going through my comics spending alot of time for

nothing..actually we spoke on the phone before and nothing came up from

it you never put a offer on the table. i assume you were taking your

chances to get them cheap or something.

No offense but i spent hours before putting together lots for potential

customers and it turned out they either offered me 1/3 of what i could

get on ebay or they did not want most of the ones i compiled.

Besides the comics are not that high yet don't lose hope ebay is really

slow right now.

Hmmm I never talked to him on the phone, I found that a bit disturbing so I called him on the phone and asked him about it. He said it may have been someone else that called and he couldn't remember for sure. He said he had already sent me an E-Mail explaining, so I checked my E-Mail after hanging up and got this.

Oh I am sorry i am confusing you for another local person who wanted to

buy them and get free shipping by picking them up from my house.I

suppose it was not you.

I will let the auctions run there coarse. There is roughly 220 omics per

box each bagged and boarded in great shape. there is also a dealer price

tag on each comic which ranges between $2.00 and $10.00 averaging $5.00

book value per comic box. $5.00 x 220 =$1100.00 ......now I know I will

not get book value for these books the way i posted them so losely

without much effort but $75 is not worth ending the auction for or even

if the price stays the same i well not go to the second highest bidder.

I will just take more time and effort to relist them....it looks like

shaky got outbid on a few auctions already anyway. Asa seller i can not

jump to conclusions i have to give the buyer the benifit of the doubt

then if they do not pay then i follow my procedure. If you are a local

person and ihave not told you already shpping would be free and because

it would save me trouble I will offer you 5% off total also.

yes i do have other books but they are higher quality books that I will

be auctioning off after these are out of the way. Supermans pal jimmy

olson number #1,justice league of america number #1,detective #225,all

star #8 wonder women first apperence and many ore get the picture.

He is a young kid, sounds to be maybe around 18 or 19. This is all the wierdest stuff I have dealt with in an auction and I am beginning to not like the feel of it. I will probably not be bidding on his stuff in the future, cuz something smells fishy.

Meth - read thread in entirety...alls well that ends well. I was cranky, got paid and made nice with the buyer...moral of this story...talk tough...act wise and at least try and take the right kind of action. Maybe, just maybe, all will work out in the end. In this case, it did. No harm, no foul - got some board memebers like you pretty riled up. But all in all, this thread keeps racking up posts...let's see how many more b4 everyone realizes that I'm pretty much satisfied with the outcome and no tru violence occurred or was ever really going to occur. Peace, brothers and sister (Joanna) !

Phil - I saw these before and realized that this was not for me. I put in low bid on each of these when first listed. i believe they were cancelled, now he's relisting again. The reason I remember is that he's selling that 100 foot screen attachment to your monitor B.S.

Yeah, apparently not for me either. It would seem that his comics are far more valuable to him than they are to me. I thought 75 bucks was extremely generous and never would have went that high except there would be zero shipping on that and another 5% off would put it in the $70 range, total. Still high, but I wanted a new long box to play with grin.gif
