You didn't provide any info (photos or descriptions) for anyone to offer an opinion, but I'm not sure that would even be possible.  You can submit the comic to CGC for an evaluation.  Check the web-site page here: https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/ccs-pressing/  Look for Comics: screening and Comics: restoration

Rule of thumb, never restore a book that is already 4.0 or higher, especially silver age which are fairly abundant and not often restored except for the true grails.  You drop the value in half even with just slight work although it may look a bit nicer, still far less desired than being left alone.
