Indent Lines - Pressing and Grade Impact

Hi

I was wondering if someone could give some advice about a comic that has got a full height indent line back cover. I've got 2 Ultimate Fallout #4's. As per the pictures, one is in the original bag it came in and sealed and the 2nd one did come in the bag but has been removed at some point. The 2nd one, the one out of the bag, has the indent line down the centre of the back cover which I've tried to show in the picture but you can only just see it. I was wondering if pressing would get this type of line out of the cover? Also, how much would this type of indent line would impact the grade of the comic. They were both stacked in a box when they came to me and not stood upright so I'm guessing the weight has caused the indent line so potentially the one in the bag could also have similar indent lines.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Craig

@joeypost, am I guessing that this is press-able?

Any color loss along the indent? The bag can rub off color, especially where it has the seam. If all the color is there, it can be pressed out without any significant impact to the grade. If the color is gone it will get dinged heavily...almost like a subscription crease.

Thankfully no colour loss so sounds like it will be worth a press. Just have to decide whether to un-bagged the other one or leave it as is and guess as to it's true grade

I would take it out, give it a good once over before sending in. Whoever presses it will have to remove it anyway.

Joey's absolutely right. I would take it out of that bag post-haste...

If you are getting the bagged one graded, definitely remove it and examine it yourself, first.
