Assuming everything else is intact, I would call it 2.5

Now this might be harsh for some. But it is definitely below 4.0 for me.

With that back cover I’d be at a 2.5 max I doubt you can fix that

I've seen some amazing work on back covers. As it is I'd give it a 2.5, but it could be a 3.5.

A while ago, a boardie posted what I thought was a joke about having a BC cleaned. His was in worst shape and came out very nice

We don't have an image of the inside back cover, which by virtue of how much saturation there is of that staining migrating through to the inside of the back cover would probably dictate the limits of the potential for eradicating or mollifying it. Could be as much as a 2 tic swing, as you suggested, if the inside back cover isn't drastically affected.

Yep, as I suspected.  The crease on the front is bad enough but that back cover is just horrid.  Poor first impression that’s hard to overcome.  Thanks for the feedback.
