A great feature of this forum is seeing what grades come back from CGC so we can compare our opinions. I am unlikely to send much soon to CGC due to reasons, but have the opportunity to share this one.

I bought it raw from a dealer but apparently it had been slabbed before (I did not know that until I got it with the label included). So here it is and I will post the grade in a few days.

That is a beauty, what a classic! 

Staples look solid but is there rust on the staples?  I would say that is probably a 3.5 (VG -) or maybe a 4.0 (VG).  Can't wait to see what the actual grade was.

I have a similar copy that may be slightly sharper than this copy but it’s very close 

I have my raw copy graded at a 5.0 so I’ll take a guess at

4.0

Tough one. I mean, the front looks like a midgrade, but the interior staining is kind of a wild card. I'll guess 4.5, but it presents so well that a higher grade wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks for your comments. In response:

-the cover is sharp. Any blurriness may be due to my auto-focus camera sometimes doesn't auto-focus as well as it should, and my eyesight is not what it was;

-the staples do not appear to be rusty on the exterior but on the interior they may be just starting to oxidize.

Agreed on the interior staining as the fuzz factor... the front cover is every bit 4.5/5.0
