This thread is hilarious! I was in Bonnett's just last Saturday. There's about 40 times the porno in there than comics, and about 20 times the pulp selection. The last time there my wife went with me, and there was a very, very old guy smoking cigars stinking up the place.

It's not worth your time. I knew the trip was a waste when the guy in front of me was getting his change back from renting a she-male video (I kid you not). Suddenly I felt out of place looking for wholesome early Archie issues. The cigar smoking guy wasn't there either.

On a bright note, a great comic shop near Dayton is "Bookery Fantasy". I picked up a VG Pep #14 for $108 and some Mylite 2's. They had the Windy City copy of "Wham Comics" number 1 for $1200 in VF, as well as some other early Actions.

Why Bonnett's still insists on that huge ugly store stamp is beyond me.

This is a great story. I assumed that they closed long ago. You have to post a photo of the place... if you get a chance.I'll have to swing by there and get a she-male video (like Capt. She-merica) if I'm ever in the neighborhood. 27_laughing.gif I went to Booker Fantasy, a few summers back, after always seeing the ad in Overstreet. The owner was very nice and helpful. He had many decent books. I got a low-grade ASM # 1 for about 30% below market. I remember an above-average selection of Centaurs too. headbang.gif
