WOW!!! @Parabellum I went big on a #12, got a 1st gen label 9.6, but that 9.8 is awesome, Congrats!

Only some comics characters get the 3rd appearance designation on the label,  it's a small quirk, but at least this has the Origin on there, a great read

I went in to a shop I frequent and while there discovered I had 3 of their reward cards in my wallet. I had them consolidated and was suddenly $28 richer! Used it to buy their low grade Star Wars 1. I’ve bought and sold copies probably 100 times. Nice to have one again, I always come back to it.

I suppose the conventional wisdom on this book is that if it’s not 9.8 with White pages it’s not worth having slabbed. 
 

But I picked it up for about the cost of slabbing and it’s a pretty sharp looking copy. I’m happy with it and my wallet is too.

I assumed everything in a slab is pressed.

Haha I get it, there is only one pressed book in my collection, a IH 181 that went from 2.5 to 3.0, but it originally had crayon on the cover and wasn't aesthetically pleasing

Sorry about that man  it seems harsh from what I can discern. looks like some possible bending along the lower rear spine and some dirt marks/stains on the bottom back edge right corner. Some minor edge wear top back edge. Grader notes?

light spine stress lines to cover
light staining to cover
light wear all corners of cover
moderate bends to cover

ya a press would have helped a bit!  No Worries

Everything else being light I suspect the bends got hammered. I don't know if Howard the Duck is worth a pressing/regrade
