Bloody ebay

15 posts in this topic

Over the last year, every month, I've been sending a suggestion to ebay to have the Comic Book categories put back to the way they were.

Eg. The Australian ebay site, for some god-forsaken reason, did away with listing books under the 'Age' it came from.

For over a year now, we've had to put up with the books 'Era' being shown. (shrug)Basically the decade it's from.

(And we don't have genres anymore, we have 'Comic Name'!!!!)

Anyway... Every time I send the same suggestion via the ebay site, I seem to get the same weird response from different people. All of the replies are along the lines of "Thanks for the suggestion for a new category for comic books. We are grateful you took the time to write us back and let us know about this."

Really creepily condescending replies.

The last response I got from them included an email address to send my suggetion to. 'suggestions@ebay.com.au'.

So I did... And the response from my mail server was instantaneous.

The email address is bogus. It doesn't farking exist!! :frustrated:

Rant over.

Sounds like they use an awful lot of words just to say, "We don't care."

Nice! Can I put that on a shirt?

Front: "Ebay"

Back: "We use an awful lot of words just to say, "We don't care""

Get them printed and start selling them on eBay. (thumbs u

Yeah I saw that. I guess we haven't incurred the charge on postage that they have placed in the U.S. (yet).

I tend to make contacts via eBay then offer them a 5% discount to deal directly through paypal, works most times.

No, but they chopped us off at the knees by capping it at £2.75 a long time ago.
