Grading Contest.....GRADES ARE IN!!!!!!!

Seen a post in Comics General and thought I would do another Golden Age grading contest as I have a few books I need to send in.

 

My last grading contest thread

 

Same rules apply:

 

You must grade all 6 books each with 3 categories:

 

1) label ie. blue, green, purple

2) actual grade

3) page quality

 

Submission should read something like this:

Book 1, blue 9.6 white pages

Book 2, blue 9.2 off white/white

Book 3, blue 9.8 white pages

Book 4, green 8.0 cream to off white pages

Book 5, purple 6.0 slightly brittle pages

Book 6, blue 7.5 off white pages

 

There will be 18 points awarded, one point for each exact guess. If there is a tie, then we will determine winner by how far off their wrong answers were.

If it ties again (like my last thread) then the winner who posted his guess first will be the victor.

 

You may only submit a grade one time, any edited posts will be cancelled.

Submissions will stop when books are verified at CGC. I have not packed them yet so it will be a week or two.....hell maybe three as far as they are behind now.

 

The winner will get something really cool, I do not know what it is yet.

First let me say I think it's a great contest to have and gives people a chance to see and grade books they might not otherwise have the opportunity to grade.

 

A few items for thought:

 

How are people supposed to guess PQ without a picture of the interior?

 

Also, not posting back cover scans is actually a hindrance to less experienced graders since they will not know what particular defects they might have missed. Just my

I think he meant more experienced graders would be just as "in the dark" as an inexperienced one would be? not really sure.
