Quick question about original art ACETATE

Just a photo copy on plastic of some kind for printing ?

This seems priced all wrong for original art so can I ask does it have value ?

No original art - it's a part of the production. Acetate is just a clear film. This film with the inks reproduced can be placed over the colors, etc.

I'm kind of curious why this was made in the first place. Was it maybe part of the color proof set - the black overlay?

Also there have been some scandals in the past about these type of pages being reproduced (so copies not used as part of the printing process were being sold).

 

If the page doesn't have the touch of the creators (penciler, inker) hand it's generally not very valuable.

Miraclemet actually saved me hundreds of dollars a few weeks ago by explaining to me what Acetates were as compared to other pieces used in the comic book making process
