Anything with both Karloff and comics is okay in my books.<3

Not a spinner. Marginally a comic book rack. From what I can find, Berkley/First Publishing released 27 digest versions of Classics Illustrated from February 1990 - June 1991. Need to clean some tape and grime, but it's in great shape.

He's a pic of the cleaned top. All the tape and gunk is off. Just a little tape residue. If anyone has suggestions on how to get that off without ruining the paint, please let me know. I'm surprised how crisp it looks without all that tape.

Here’s a pic of mine. I’ve been on the hunt for one for awhile, ended up with 2. The other one needs a little fixing, eventually I’ll have one for hero books, the other for pre-code, it’s all about that squeak.

Here is a new modern spinner rack at the estate auction I’m sitting at now. How much should I bid

X-Men 94 is being sold separately

Personally, I'd top out at $250 or under.  It's a cool rack, but it is modern with no painted logs or link to any specific publisher.  These days, you can get a cool retro rack for around $350.

But, then again, I've been known to pay $250 for just a rack topper sign.  So who am I to judge.

You guys might enjoy the thread on comic racks on the Golden Age board (also covers SA and BA racks) as it has pictures of a lot of racks and toppers not seen on this thread:

50s or 60s Classics Illustrated rack topper:

Dell paperbacks rack:

the Marvel sign is very rare. There is a Marvel rack for sale on Ebay right now if you can afford an arm and a leg.

I took it home for a bid of $40, about $50 after fees and taxes! It fits slabs but I am not quite sure what will go in it. I will keep you updated.

The X-Men 94 went for $170, I was the underbidder. It had some spine ticks but I was in the mood to buy. I'll post my other deals in the appropriate thread.

Nice pickup for an even nicer price. That rack has a lot of potential....

Great price!  I use my racks for DC Archives, Marvel Masterworks, and other similar books.  Your new rack is sort of a modern version of the famous Dell "Postage Stamp" racks - but instead of having three back to back slot rows, your's has two:

Damn sfcityduck, you have an amazing collection of vintage comic racks, how long have you been collecting them?

Yep! I already plan on printing out some covers to put in place of the ones on the side. I'll keep them somewhere safe of course, and my wife already said not to toss the Yellow Submarine one. As if.
