My First Slab Purchase: White Pages? Legit?

Yesterday I recieved my first CGC encapsulated comic for my collection in an ebay purchase.

Avengers Annual #10 - CGC 9.2 (0271595007)

I don't have anything to compare it to other than pictures online, and after a little bit I have myself concerned with a few things:

1. White Pages: The label says it is white pages but it doesn't even look close to me. I know this is subjective as far as when and by whom the book was printed. It means original condition pages, not necessarily white. I took a close up picture if anyone that knows this book can chime in.

2. Sealing glue: There is a couple of inches where there is glue on the outside where the seam of the encasement is. Is this normal? Another picture is attached for that.

These two things and not knowing better gives me that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. The book itself is nice, but I am not an experienced grader so I cannot tell if it is worthy of the 9.2. If there is legitimate concern with the issues above I will add more pictures of the condition.

The glue on the edge is from the sonic sealing process - it's totally normal.

"White pages" doesn't mean the pages are blindingly white - your book looks fine.

Plus you are looking at the edges of the pages and that says nothing for the color of the pages inside the book.

Not saying everything should go on blind faith but I would feel confident that the last guy who looked at the inside of the book is giving an honest account of what he saw.

Always exciting that first slab though :cloud9:

Awesome, thank you for putting my mind at ease! :tink:

It is a great feeling to have a slabbed book in my collection! I still have the first unboxing of my own submitted books to look forward to from SDCC, hopefully sooner than later!
