5.5 and 7.0.  No way do I buy a comic with a stain as an 8.0

Edit: wouldn't buy it as a 7.0 either, frankly!

Surprised the didn’t give the staining on the 1st book much of bump down but gave the ASM 300 a nice down grade because of the staining.

5.5 & 8.5. I'll take it. The 300 was hard because it was difficult to tell what was/wasn't on the case.

Wow, I totally missed that stain......Definitely surprised at the grade now.

Next year  , I plan on scanning the actual book before it’s encased. Shoulda done this year’s ago.

Dodged a bullet, was going to go 9.2 on the ASM and thought I'll take another look. Glad I did, I didn't even see that stain on the back the first time I looked at it.

I had to read Andy’s post very carefully to make sure it was a stain, and not one of the things that he was saying was on the case.

I went 4.5 on the GA but hammered the stain on the ASM 300 down to a 7.0.

I probably would have missed it but saw it while finding the marks is on the back cover of the slab.

I went 9.2 on it missed the stain.

Me too. There was a lot of notes about what was from the scanner and it made me bored lazy.

I went with 5 and 9 trying to be generous more generous than I would normally be. It seems that over the course of this I tend to grade much tighter. Especially when it comes to stains and discoloration. I am trying to calibrate my grading with the CGC. I still have a long way to go. And one more round. Maybe I'll nail it? I have 5 bullseyes so far. I'd like to get a couple more before this ends?
