I feel like all the DTR #1 first printings were made for me. Whenever I see them I scoop them up regardless of condition. When they are with someone else, they are not in the proper place. Their proper place is with me. My goal as I've stated before is to become the world's greatest comic book collector

I will not stop until every DKR #1 is with me.

You can have my Tracey Returns if you want :D

Anyone can play the game the way you are.  Watch this:

I've got 1700 copies of Peter Parker, Spectacular Spider-Man #2  :sumo:

How delightful! That's not a particularly compelling issue, but fun nonetheless, and it does have an Omen reference on the cover.

The parameters of the thread have been met, so I'm content with that.

Man, I'm making a poor showing as The World's Greatest Comic-Book Collector.

No, you're doing great on that. Just don't enter any spelling bee's :headbang:

He said ""Don't you mean Kidney Lady?"

I said "That's what I said, diddley I?" :)

Awesome thread!  Love it.  :cloud9:

If you want to see some more examples, here's a good source:

Double Digit Multiples

Just an example (not my books)...

I'll be adding some of the examples in this thread to it.

Let's see some more!  Keep them coming.  :)

ugh--- that picture annoys me so much. I have been trying to pick up a reasonably priced copy of The Demon 1 for a few years now and this guy has over 50 in that one picture alone.

Signed,

The other side of the coin

Going through my DD Miller run and notice I've got 5 copies of DD issue #187. Got me thinking who has the highest number of copies of a single issue. Calamerica no doubt wins with his IM/SM #1 collection so the question is who comes in second.

I would not so readily concede that Cal takes 1st place (with owning the most copies of a single SA book), however, I could be wrong (as I don't know his exact number).

I have read through this thread and appreciate the OP asking the question.

I think it is more interesting if we divide this into age categories.  Maybe Chuck (at Mile High) owns 1000 copies of some book no one would want for anything but to use as a fire starter, however, I would not put that in the same league as someone who owns numerous copies of some SA / GA book.

I am NOT trying to discourage ANYONE from showing photos of any book they have multiple copies of.  PLEASE keep the photos and posts coming (for any and all books).  I am just saying the playing field may not be level when comparing books from different eras.

Great thread! (thumbsu

Did someone say 'Cal?'

Whatever you do, don't say it three times within 24 hours.  Oh shoot...
