Who could dust off one of the greatest pulp heroes of yesteryear and not make it suck?  Enter Denny O’Neil and Michael Kaluta.  Overlooked and underrated series (undermined by an appearance in a lame story in Batman 253 around the same time).  I love this book, hope you do too.  Here’s a nice run of the full series.  Take em all for $60.

Absolutely gorgeous VF+ copy.  Perfectly flat, almost no color breaking, incredible interior.  This is one of the few books in this thread that is not from my original collection (it came in a recently purchased lot along with FF 65-67).

As such, maybe it was pressed?  No idea as I’m unfamiliar with pressing yet, beyond the debates I’ve seen on the boards.  In the 80s, if you wanted to flatten a book, you put it under a bunch of encyclopedias. 

Regardless, it’s a super pretty copy.  Yours for $40.
