Golden Age PCH - Is this an indication of trimming? 1 1

I am terrible at detecting trimming, but I bought both of these Golden Age PCH books, from the same title (Adventures into Weird Worlds), and they are vastly different in width. I know production cutting was not the greatest in the 50's, but could it be this bad?

If you look at all the covers, looks like they lost width starting with #9 https://www.comics.org/series/891/covers/

Your #29 looks normal.

They probably reduced the width just enough to get a paper discount

I'm pretty sure neither of those have been trimmed.  The #29 raises a couple flags but the registration as compared with other blue labels seems fine.
