WALT DISNEY'S COMICS & STORIES #34 in 2.5. Early Barks story; Walt Kelly Gremlins feature and WWII plane insignia illustrations featuring Disney animals. Neat war-themed cover, a gem from this era. Book looks VGish at a glance but some rumpling and bends; some top corners in the back have chips and top of centerfold has cracks along a production wrinkle (see spoilered pics) suggesting slight brittleness in those spots. Cream/OW pages, supple overall.

WALT DISNEY'S COMICS & STORIES #35 in 3.5. Nice solid war-era duck book. Another early Barks story; Walt Kelly Gremlins; WWII plane insignia illustrations. Bought as VG- from HA long ago and I agree with that grade, but most would call it straight VG.

WALT DISNEY'S COMICS & STORIES #37 in 4.0. Non-Barks story but still a good one; great early Walt Kelly cover, who also does a Gremlins feature; WWII plane insignia illustrations. Nice bright copy.

WALT DISNEY'S COMICS & STORIES #50 in 5.0. Donald's three nephews look so nasty on this cover, LOL. Barks story plus a Three Caballeros story featuring Donald and WWII plane insignia illustrations. Top staple detached from back cover but still attached to front. Bright cover.

WALT DISNEY'S COMICS & STORIES #64 in 5.5. Always liked the WDCS covers with deep green backgrounds. Charming Barks story where Donald vows never to get angry ; Christmas cover by Kelly. Solid copy.

Ah you know, Barks stuff, like Walk Kelly, is just delightful.  But never felt the pull to collect originals.

Aw, thanks Sharon! I do like my pretty duck covers. Or my pretty skeleton covers. Or whatever.
