Consider this thought about your Seeding round selections...

Which is the more annoying thought?

  1. I was within a half grade on three books of having 6 bullseyes out of 10
  2. I was within a half grade on three books of having 7 losses out of 10

Since #1 fits me, I'd say #2, I kept putting 9.6 for all of the 2-3 9.8s.. I still got 2-3 bullseye, but the hard way :pullhair:

I went 8.5 on Thor too. To me it fell short of a 9.0, I mean I was trying to give it a 9.0 because it had a lot of what I call "9+ attributes" but could not in good conscience give it more. I just fell short in my eyes. Also the FF book in my eyes did not measure up to 9.4. I guess the apparent loss of color at the bottom of the cover was not enough to keep it out of the 9's? I mean, when i'm grading a book above 9.0 or at 9.0 I could accept some minor loss of color at the corners but not to that extent. IMO that would tend to hold it down a bit lower into the 8's. Maybe I was misinterpreting the scan of that book? I'll have to go back and take another look. Challenging round though-sharpening the old grading skills!:pullhair:

The Thor was one where we didn't see the insides, hard to judge... I agree in 8.5

I agree. I have that book in a 9.2 and the one here didn’t match up. Too much edge wear.

I had the FF at 9.4 originally because of the sharp corners and vivid colors on a white cover. I dropped it to 9.2 because of the bottom edge wear.

The book that got me the most was Mouseketeers. I had it at 7.0 due to what I thought was two large creases on the top right corner but I guess they weren’t as bad as I thought or weren’t there.
