Little known fact...Action Comics 1 is the first book to reference this pressing method. In fact, just off panel, there is a comic book that Superman is about to toss that car on. 

It’s listed as one of Supermans 3245 abilities...pressing vintage comics.

that is because it is the general brand self-seal run flat tire you can get for a corvette. everybody knows that.
