Spine roll removal?

Could use some advice from wiser minds than my own. I realize opinions are divided generally, but would it make sense to attempt a spine fix in this instance? As you can see, this copy has other challenges beyond just the rolled spine. I’m not experienced enough to know what the relative risks and rewards are when it comes to grading a book that’s had a major spine adjustment.

If the spine roll was removed, it would put some defects on the back and make it present better, and possibly give it a higher grade.  However, being a single staple book, there is a greater risk of it becoming detached.

Thanks for all the feedback. Will seek out someone with expertise. I also learned something new as a result of this, which is the single-staple practice in the 40s due to wartime shortages -- cool tidbit I wasn't aware of!
