It’s not, but it does look like that. It looks more like paper that has seen weather damage on closer inspection.

Hi Lee, it looks like the dust shadow from "Hades" . Beautiful copy, it might have had that area in a direct high sun or light .02 in our humble opinion. : - )

I agree, sunlight probably played a factor. At least most of the comic was protected and looks great. That strip of brown at the bottom brings the grade down.
