I have a few nice Ms.Marvels 1 that I missed the spike cause I waited. But I sold a Marvel Super 13 at my wanted price cause I listed it high and let it sit. Eventually the market hit my price and it sold. It resisted a few time but it was going to sit anyway. I might do it that way with some high grade Eternals.

My question is will books like Ms.Marvel 1 spike as high when movie number 2 kicks into gear, or has the window gone and it will only be a slow rise?

The biggest jump in value % wise tends to happen with the first movie. After that, it depends on the book. I think Ms. Marvel #1, not being the 1st appearance and being relatively common, will behave more like Copper and Modern books = big jump first movie, then pull back a bit post movie, followed by more measured price gains going forward.

The SME 15 CGC 9.8 on Comiclink is up to $4,889 with three days left.

$5,089 one day left.

Nice.

I am kicking myself extra hard right now for not snagging either of the TOD #10 CGC 9.8 or CGC 9.6 copies on Clink last October or November. I had the funds available and was willing to outbid the prices they fetched, but I thought there would be better deals this year since movie/TV rumors had fizzled. doh!  I had to settle for a couple of 9.4s instead.

If Marvel brought out a comic about dog mess, then announced a movie on it, the F@#kwitts would be clambering over themselves for a copy.:eyeroll:

And we would all be happy clamoring to sell it to them at those inflated prices.  lol

I'll never get over selling my AF15 3.0 for $1,800 in 2003. It's small solace knowing that I would have sold it many times over since then given the price run-up, but to think that the same book now goes for about 10X that amount stings a bit.

In any event, market watch update on the SME 15 9.8 is $5,289 with a day and six hours left. Shattering the former GPA high of $4,000. This is making the copy on eBay for $5,999 look less pie in the sky.

Do not sell any of these books yet:

WHAT IF 10

TOD 10

SME 15

Whoever is telling you to sell now doesn't understand build up or is trying to get you to unload your books for whatever reason I dont know.

These movies look really good (Thor 4, Shang Chi & Blade:banana:) so WAIT!!!

I remember when the Black Panther movie was announced.

If I would of sold my FF 52's immediately it would of obviously been a mistake.

Same with Eternals.

After the Eternals movie was announced it just bumped a little.

Then a few months later as casting news leaked and things became more concrete the book popped.

Wait for the trailer or around 10-30 days before the movie hits if you can wait.

HOLD HOLD HOLD!!!

:flipbait:

Oh yeah BIG SHOUTOUT to the person on the boards who tried to get me to sell my SME15 9.4 saying the movie was already announced and the book was already peaking. :roflmao:

Its all good baby babyyyyyyyy

Did you guys see Simu Liu speak Chinese off top on his introduction?

Who would of thought of Natalie Portman as Thor?!?!?

Blade announcement was the sneaky cherry on top.

MARVEL are marketing geniuses.

Yall aint seen nothing yet...

You may well be right that they have not yet peaked, but I would not operate on the assumption that they will behave like FF52. That is a 1965 book intro'ing a character that Disney is steadily, successfully retrofitting into the top-tier, 1963 and back Marvel pantheon. These other three are bronze books, and while they are all cool, there is a LOT more Bronze Age high grade sitting out there.

A local collector put his collection on consignment in an LCS in my area. There's Multiples, to varying degrees, of most every bronze key. Peter Parker 1 alone was 161 copies.

Because Black Widow?

Rachel Weisz apparently will play Iron Maiden in Black Widow. 1st appearance in Marvel Fanfare 11.

I just threw my 11 and 12 up on ebay as a set. What the heck. Might as well get in a little of this lol.

Marvel Fanfare is Copper, and crazy is not a strong enough word.

Well MF 11 came out in '83 and MF 12 came out in '84 so if you go by ebay's cutoffs they just straddle that line.

I got mine listed in Bronze but I went back and forth on it.

There is no consensus what-so-ever on any of the ages.

Agree with you, it could be Bronze or copper, let each decide

It is easier to say where a book isn't than where it is.

We can probably agree it is not Gold or silver.

But to declare that books are Copper or bronze based on eBay is:facepalm:
