CGC Trading Cards-certified Pokémon Venusaur Sold by Logan Paul for $19,000 to Benefit Boxing Bullies Foundation

Many collectors may be familiar with YouTube star Logan Paul for either the content he creates, his high profile boxing career or the fact that he has elevated the prices of Pokémon cards through the roof. Recently, Paul posted a photo on his Instagram story showcasing a CGC Trading Cards-certified Venusaur card graded CGC 9 that sold for $19,000, shattering the price record for similar Venusaur cards.

The auction happened at an after-party event following the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley rematch fight in Tampa, Florida, on December 19, 2021 and was sponsored by Promify, Fangible and Clover. All proceeds were donated to Boxing Bullies, a nonprofit founded by Jake Paul, Logan Paul’s brother.

Boxing Bullies’ mission is to help build children’s confidence, leadership and courage through boxing, while using social media as a voice to fight bullying. The organization has raised more than $400,000 in total donations and has given over 150 pairs of boxing gloves to children nationwide.
