Posted on 9/21/2023
Preparing to swing into New York Comic Con, October 12-15, 2023, CGC Comics is unvaulting its fan-favorite NYC Spider-Man custom label, featuring the wall-crawler above the New York City skyline. But with great power comes great responsibility, and CGC is only making the label available for a very limited time.
The CGC NYC Spider-Man label is offered in CGC Universal (blue) and CGC Signature Series (yellow) for an additional $5 fee. To select the label, simply choose “NYC Spider-Man label” when filling out the CGC online submission form. The label is available for any Marvel book submitted for CGC grading or ReHolder services.
Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Spider-Man made his debut in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962. As one of the most recognizable heroes of all time, Spider-Man has thrilled fans for decades in comics, as well as on screen in many cartoons, television series and movies.
The NYC Spider-Man label was introduced in 2019 as part of a Marvel label series that also featured Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Captain America, the Avengers, Daredevil, Hulk, Thor and Venom. It quickly became one of CGC’s most popular custom labels, until it was placed in the CGC vault in 2020.
