Hey, TCG collectors! Start preparing your cards because CGC Trading Cards is accepting Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering submissions at the upcoming TCG Legends Expo, taking place at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia, on April 30 - May 1, 2022. Stop by booth #700/701/717 to chat with CGC Trading Cards representatives, who will be there to answer questions, explain CGC Trading Cards’ services and accept submissions.

Spend more time exploring the TCG Legends Expo by submitting your cards through CGC Trading Cards’ Express Drop-off service. When you have your submission prepared ahead of time, you can skip the submission line and quickly hand off your cards to a CGC Trading Cards rep — hassle free. Keep reading for step-by-step instructions to get your submission ready.

Show giveaways!

Leading up to the show, CGC Trading Cards will be announcing giveaways on its social media channels. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok to enter and win! The first 200 people at registration will also receive an exclusive CGC Trading Cards certified card sample, in addition to samples available at the booth and CGC Trading Cards swag.

The world-class experts at CGC Trading Cards use innovative technology to authenticate and grade cards as well as superior, state-of-the-art holders that collectors and dealers trust in this rapidly growing market. Since July 2020, CGC Trading Cards has certified impressive collections, such as the elusive 2001 Pokémon Tropical Mega Battle English VS set, and a host of rarities, such as the coveted Pokémon Illustrator card.

Please note: CGC Trading Cards will accept sports card submissions for Certified Sports Guaranty (CSG) at this event, but please refrain from bringing comics, magazines and concert posters.

Preparing Express Drop-off submissions for the show

To streamline submissions at the show, please take the following steps before arriving:

  1. Become a CGC Collectors Society member. To join CGC, click here.
  2. Complete the CGC Trading Cards Online Submission Form under “Show Drop-off” and print the packing slip. Make sure your account number, shipping address, return shipping method and requested services are included on the paperwork.
  3. Carefully insert each of your cards in a CGC Trading Cards Sleeve or similar product and then within a CGC Trading Cards Semi-Rigid Card Holder or similar product. Find out more about CGC Trading Cards Card Sleeves and Semi-Rigid Holders here.
  4. Place your cards in the exact order that they are listed on the packing slip.
  5. Keep your cards safe and secure until you are able to drop off your submission with a rep at the booth.

If there are 10 or fewer cards in your submission, CGC Trading Cards will check them in front of you at the show. If the submission has more than 10 cards, it will be placed in a tamper-proof container and then opened later under security cameras.

CGC Trading Cards will provide tablets at the booth for submitters to use for sign-up and submission purposes or fill out the online submission form.

All submissions will be transported to CGC Trading Cards headquarters in nearby Sarasota, Florida for authentication, grading and encapsulation. To learn more about CGC Trading Cards services and fees, click here.
