CGC-graded Superman and Spider-Man grails sell for over $400,000 each

A Golden Age grail and a Silver Age grail teamed up to break some records in March in a ComicLink auction.

An Action Comics #1, graded CGC 7.0 Conserved, sold for $450,000. The June 1938 book from D.C. Comics features the origin and first appearance of Superman. (To see the lot, click here.)

Meanwhile, an Amazing Fantasy #15 graded CGC 9.0 sold for $415,000. The August 1962 book from Marvel Comics features the origin and first appearance of Spider-Man. (To see the lot, click here.)

According to ComicLink, these set records for an Action Comics #1 graded CGC 7.0 Conserved and an Amazing Fantasy #15 graded CGC 9.0.
