CGC welcomes back esteemed comic book writer and editor Roy Thomas!

CGC is excited to announce that we will be hosting our third annual exclusive In-House Private Signing event with multiple award-winning, comic book writer and editor, Roy Thomas. Thomas succeeded Stan Lee as Editor-In-Chief at Marvel Comics and has also written for Marvel and DC Comics, co-creating many iconic characters throughout his sensational career. In addition to signing, Thomas will be offering Remarques for purchase. See pricing and details below.

Thomas began his career in the comic industry as an assistant at DC Comics, but soon after being hired joined Marvel Comics as a writer. There he worked on many well known series including Tales of Suspense, Doctor Strange, Uncanny X-Men and The Avengers. During this time at Marvel, he co-created fan favorite characters such as Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Carol Danvers, Luke Cage and Iron Fist among many others. Once he became Editor-In-Chief, Thomas helped launch titles like The Defenders and What If, which have both been adapted into successful television series. Thomas eventually went back to DC and signed an exclusive writing/editing contract that led to his work on series such as Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Justice League of America. After DC, Thomas worked for Marvel, Dark Horse and Dynamite. During his tenured career in comics, Thomas has been the recipient of the industry’s Alley, Shazam and Inkpot Awards. In 2011 he was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame.

“The CGC Signature Series team and I are thrilled to have Roy back for this Private Signing Event,” said Brittany McManus, CGC Signature Series Director. “His career in the comic industry is extraordinary, and we are extremely grateful to have him join us again!”
