CGC, CGC Trading Cards and CSG Attending MegaCon in Orlando

Meet CGC, CGC Trading Cards and CSG experts and submit collectibles at the con.

Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®), CGC Trading Cards™ and Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) are attending MegaCon at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, on May 19-22.

The four-day Megacon Orlando event is one of the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming events in North America. The convention began in 1993 and saw 100,000 attendees in 2016. Some of the guests scheduled to appear this year include Elijah Wood and Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings Trilogy), Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Sackoff and Gina Carano (The Mandalorian), Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes (Clerks), John Cleese (Monty Python) and Brent Spiner and LeVar Burton (Star Trek). Comic book creators will also be there, including Frank Miller, Greg Capullo, Artgerm, Ryan Ottley, Sozomaika and many more.

Company representatives will be accepting submissions, answering questions and providing information on CGC, CGC Trading Cards and CSG services.

In order to spend more time enjoying the show, submit your prepared collectibles through the Express Drop-Off Service, which enables you to skip the line and quickly hand off your prepared submission to a representative. Keep reading for step-by-step instructions to get your submission ready.

Leading the way in pop culture collectible grading services

CGC revolutionized the comic book marketplace when it was founded in 2000 by providing clear, objective and impartial assessments of authenticity and grade. Today, CGC is the world's largest and most trusted third-party grading service for comics, trading cards, magazines, concert posters and related collectibles with nearly 10 million collectibles certified.

CGC Trading Cards is the division of CGC devoted to the expert grading of the most popular trading card games, including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Dragon Ball Super, Flesh and Blood, MetaZoo and many more. Since launching in 2020, CGC Trading Cards has graded more than 1 million cards.

CSG, an expert and impartial certification service for sports cards, is changing the game with advanced grading technology and the best holder in the industry. Since launching in early 2021, CSG has already graded over 750,000 sports cards.

Preparing Submissions for the Show

To streamline submissions at the show, please take the following steps before arriving:

1. Become a CGC or CSG member. To join CGC, click here. To join CGC Trading Cards, click here. To join CSG, click here.

2. Select the show you are submitting at from the dropdown menu.

3. Complete the submission form and print the packing slip.

Important: To ensure that your submission process stays on schedule, please package collectibles with the packing slip in the exact order that they are listed on the packing slip. Failure to do so will result in delays.

4. Keep your collectibles safe and secure until you drop off your submission (including the packing slip) with a representative.

5. Go to the Express Drop-off sign to finalize your submission.

Note: This does not apply to CGC Signature Series submissions. For CGC Signature Series submissions, come directly to the CGC booth with your collectible(s) and a CGC Authorized Witness will take you to the artist(s) for signing. The paperwork will then be completed at the booth after the witnessed signature is obtained.

CGC, CGC Trading Cards and CSG will provide tablets at the booth for submitters to use for sign-up and submission purposes.

CGC Authorized Witnesses available at MegaCon

If you plan to get the signature of your favorite creator while at MegaCon and then submit to CGC to receive the prestigious, yellow CGC Signature Series label, be sure to stop by the CGC booth to grab a CGC Authorized Witness. Without an official CGC Authorized Witness, signatures cannot be authenticated. After the collectible has been signed in the presence of a CGC Authorized Witness, it can then be submitted to CGC for expert grading and encapsulation. Your collectible will then be mailed back to you to become a treasured part of your collection.
