CGC-certified Comic Book Featuring Wonder Woman’s First Appearance Poised to Make History
Posted on 6/9/2022
A vintage comic book graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) that is renowned for including the origin and first appearance of Wonder Woman may make history this month by breaking the $1 million mark at a Heritage Auctions Comics and Comic Art Signature Auction, scheduled for June 16-19, 2022.
Bidding for the All Star Comics #8 graded CGC 9.4 (lot 91002) had already surpassed $500,000 more than a week before the sale. The December 1941-January 1942 comic, which was published by a DC forerunner, is famous for introducing Wonder Woman. The groundbreaking Golden Age superhero quickly moved to anchor the Sensation Comics series, which began in January 1942.
