Over 250 CGC-certified Comics Offered by Hake’s Auctions

Silver Age keys are among more than 250 comic books graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) that, along with many other collectible video games, sports cards and comic book art selections, are available in a Hake’s sale that’s currently underway. Bidding is open for Auction #236 and concludes November 15-16, 2022.

Among the many exciting items available in the auction is a Journey Into Mystery #83 graded CGC 5.5. Published in 1962 by Marvel Comics, it features the debut of Marvel’s Thor by Jack Kirby, Stan Lee and Larry Lieber. Originally, Thor was the Norse God of Thunder who was sent to Earth by his father, Odin, to learn humility under the guise of Dr. Donald Blake. The following year, Thor became a founding member of The Avengers, and his character has been adapted to many different film and television projects throughout the decades.
