More than 800 comic books graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) are available in an upcoming Hake’s auction. The comics are offered in Session 2 of the auction, which opened on January 2, 2023, and closes between January 16-18, 2023.
Among the many CGC-graded comics in this auction is an Amazing Fantasy #15 graded CGC .5, which includes the first appearance of Spider-Man in 1962. This title is among the most-sought-after among all comic books; an example graded CGC 9.6 sold for $3,600,000 in September 2021. Lower-graded books like this one still sell for thousands as collectors compete to own a piece of superhero history.
