CGC Signature Series Introduces New Facilitator-friendly Online Submission Form

Toss out your old paper forms! Facilitators can register their events, and collectors can submit and track their orders, using the upgraded CGC Signature Series online submission forms!

If you’re tired of filling out those paper submission forms for CGC Signature Series events, we’ve got some great news for you! You can put the pen down, because CGC facilitators and collectors alike are now able to more easily register and submit with CGC Signature Series using our upgraded online Signature Series submission form beginning May 23, 2023.

Every year, fans bring their prized collectibles to comic cons and other pop culture conventions around the world. They travel far and wide with just one goal in mind — to have their collectibles signed by artists, writers, creators and celebrities. Getting collectibles signed by fan favorites has been a part of the hobby since its inception, and today, signed collectibles are highly sought items.

Until now, facilitators who wanted to host a CGC Signature Series event had to submit their request in writing. If approved, they would have to fill out paper submission forms for every witnessed signature they were submitting on behalf of their customers. The process could sometimes be time-consuming.

“Facilitators will have right at their fingertips a list of every event request they’ve submitted, every invoice that’s come in for an event, every invoice that’s been accepted or rejected. All of that data will be on CGC's website now, and we have never had that before,” said CGC Signature Series Director Brittany McManus.

Once the event is approved by CGC, it will be included on the CGC Signature Series webpage, where collectors can use the new online submission form to submit new orders. Just like always, collectors can still submit their books to participating comic conventions even if they aren’t planning on attending the show in person. Except now, collectors can use the online submission form instead of sending in paper forms with their books.

Afterward, collectors can follow the progress of their submission, just like a typical Universal blue label submission.

“We’re going to have complete transparency on the customer orders, the facilitator orders and where they are between the customer and CGC,” McManus said. “Previously, when a customer dropped off books to the facilitator, you might have gotten a little receipt that says they have your books. Then that facilitator had to transfer all your books onto a CGC Signature Series form, then they had to send it to CGC, then it’s on the facilitator's account and the customer couldn't see where that invoice is. All of that is changing!”
