Posted on 9/29/2023
Fan-favorite Silver Age comics from publishers such as Marvel and DC Comics that are graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) can be found in the ComicConnect Mega Monthly Auction on October 17-19, 2023.
Among the classic comics in the auction is a Daredevil #1 graded CGC 2.0. Published by Marvel Comics in 1964, this comic features the first appearance of Daredevil by Stan Lee and Bill Everett. Daredevil stands out as one of the most unique heroes in the Marvel Universe. Blinded by a radioactive substance as a child, Matt Murdock gained heightened senses that he uses to fight crime as a lawyer by day and a vigilante by night on the gritty streets of Hell's Kitchen, New York City. His distinctive red costume, acrobatic fighting style, and relentless pursuit of justice have made Daredevil a beloved and enduring character.
Also in this sale is a Captain America #100 graded CGC 5.5. This series was previously titled “Tales of Suspense” featuring the adventures of Captain America. However, with issue #100, it was officially renamed “Captain America” and became the inaugural issue of the hero’s first solo Silver Age series following his return in Avengers #4.
