"CGC was honored to contribute these two signed comics to this auction benefiting the First Responders Children's Foundation," said CGC President Matt Nelson. "Recognizing the sacrifices of our first responders and their families is important, and we are proud to support their dedication."

The FRCF was established in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, when 800 children lost a first responder parent. The mission of the FRCF is to provide financial support to both children who have lost a parent in the line of duty as well as families enduring significant financial hardships due to tragic circumstances. The First Responders Children’s Foundation also supports, promotes and facilitates educational activities and programs created and operated by law enforcement and firefighting organizations whose purpose is to benefit children or the community at large.

The founder of FRCF is Alfred Kahn, a philanthropist who experienced remarkable success in licensing iconic brands like Cabbage Patch Kids, Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Yu-Gi-Oh! He also played a crucial role in marketing and licensing beloved franchises such as Nintendo, Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, James Bond, World Wrestling Federation, WCW, Monster Jam Monster Trucks, Xbox and Polly Pocket, establishing himself as a leading force in the industry.
