CGC Announces In-House Private Signing Event with Comic Book Creators Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner and Chad Hardin

CGC Signature Series will be hosting the extremely talented comic book creators Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner and Chad Hardin for an exclusive In-House Private Signing event! Conner and Palmiotti are legends in the industry and the co-founders of PaperFilms. Hardin is an amazing talent who has worked for publishers like Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, BOOM! Studios and Valiant. In addition to signing, all three will be offering Remarques and Hardin will be offering Sketches for purchase as well. See pricing and details below. 

Conner has drawn for many of the top titles in comics, such as Harley Quinn, Lois Lane, Codename: Knockout and Birds of Prey for DC Comics, as well as X-Men Unlimited for Marvel and Gatecrasher for Blackbull Comics, which she co-created. Amanda also worked on The Pro, an Eisner-nominated creator-owned book for Image Comics with Jimmy Palmiotti and Garth Ennis. Recently, she drew the highly successful Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre series with Eisner-winning creator Darwyn Cooke.

Conner’s work can also be seen outside the comic book community, in places such as ABC’s Nightline, The New York Times, MAD magazine, Arm & Hammer, Playschool and Nickelodeon. She has also done monthly spot illustrations for Revolver magazine and has enjoyed a huge success with the DC Comics title Harley Quinn with Jimmy Palmiotti. She continuously produces cover work for Marvel Comics, DC Comics and an assortment of independent titles. Her involvement with DC and Warner Brothers for the Harley Quinn animated series along with several characters and themes leveraged for the cartoon and motion pictures are evident.

Palmiotti is a Brooklyn-born, multi-award-winning character creator with a wide range of experience in advertising, production, consulting, editorial, screenwriting, development, media presentation and video game development. Just a few of his clients include Nike, Nickelodeon, Universal Pictures, Disney, Marvel, Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, Lionsgate, Vidmark, Starz, Fox, Alliance Films, New Line Cinema, Spike TV, MTV, 2kgames, Midway, Radical Games, Activision and THQ.

Palmiotti is the co-founder of such companies as Event Comics, Black Bull Media, Marvel Knights (a division of Marvel Comics) and PaperFilms, his current project where he partners with Amanda Conner. Palmiotti is well known for writing Harley Quinn, Jonah Hex, Countdown, Deadpool, Punisher, Painkiller Jane and numerous creator-owned titles. Several of his contributions for both DC and Marvel can be found in major motion pictures and TV series for Marvel and DC, including Black Panther, Daredevil, Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn the animated series and more.

Hardin is best known for his work on DC’s Harley Quinn alongside Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. Other DC titles he has worked on include The Brave and the Bold, Justice League of America, Supergirl and Zatanna. He had also worked on series like The Amazing Spider-Man Family, Dragon Age, Farscape, Vampirella and Web of Spider-Man. Hardin is currently the cover artist on Marvel’s Edge of Spider-Verse and has variant covers on current titles for the publisher such as Rise of the Powers of X and Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver.  

For this exclusive event, ALL CGC members, including free CGC members, can submit books directly to CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. CGC must receive all submissions for this event by Friday, July 5, 2024. 

If the In-House Private Signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be rescheduled. 

After they sign the submitted books, CGC will grade and encapsulate them with an estimated turnaround time of six weeks. If CGC pressing is also requested, the turnaround time is estimated at eight weeks. After grading and encapsulation, the collectibles will be shipped back to their owners.

• On the next screen, you can add one of CGC’s custom Marvel labels to your submission for qualifying books.

• Books that are already certified by CGC, including CGC Signature Series books, can be submitted for this event. CGC will remove a CGC-certified book from its holder for an additional $5 fee.
• Carefully package books in a box for shipment. If you need a CGC shipping kit, they can be purchased HERE.
• IMPORTANT: Please write JP/AC/CH on all sides of the outside of the box. You must initial outside of the box or we will not be able to honor the submission for this signing. 
• Books will be received into the CGC system when they arrive and will be safely stored by CGC until the event. (Please note: Payments are processed as they normally are at the time of the collectibles’ arrival at CGC.)
• Once books are signed, they will start an expedited CGC grading process. 

PLEASE NOTE:

All submissions must be received by CGC no later than Friday, July 5, 2024, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after Friday, July 5, 2024.

**If you submit a CGC-graded collectible that needs to be removed from its original holder by CGC, the collectible will need to go through the certification and encapsulation process again, and there is no guarantee that it will receive the same grade.
