Posted on 8/15/2024
ComicLink sales were heated in July, featuring some of Marvel and DC’s most iconic heroes in comic books graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®)
The top sale of the month was a Daredevil #1 graded CGC 9.2 that realized $23,000. Daredevil is a Marvel Comics superhero created by writer Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, with input from Jack Kirby. First appearing in Daredevil #1 in 1964, Daredevil, also known as Matt Murdock, is a blind lawyer with heightened senses, using his extraordinary abilities to fight crime in New York City's Hell's Kitchen. The debut issue introduced readers to Murdock's tragic origin story, where he loses his sight in an accident involving radioactive materials but gains superhuman senses. Balancing his life as both a lawyer and a vigilante, Daredevil quickly became a complex and iconic character within the Marvel Universe.
