This month's hottest comics are being driven by the excitement around upcoming film and TV projects like Marvel's "Venom: The Last Dance," "Vision Quest" and "Fantastic Four." With these popular characters and their stories set to make a splash on screens soon, collectors are eager to get their hands on these key comics while they still can.

Batman Adventures #12

In 1993, Batman Adventures #12 introduced Harley Quinn to comics after her television debut in "Batman: The Animated Series" (originally voiced by Arleen Sorkin). Fans quickly fell for her chaotic charm, and over time, she evolved from the Joker’s sidekick into a complex anti-hero and even worked alongside Batman and the Justice League. After splitting from the Joker, Harley began a popular relationship with Poison Ivy, further deepening her character. With Margot Robbie bringing her to life on the big screen and Kaley Cuoco voicing her in the HBO Max animated series, Harley has quickly become one of DC’s most popular characters.

Avengers #55

Avengers #55 in 1968 introduced Ultron, one of the Avengers' most menacing foes. In the comics, Ultron is an AI villain created by Hank Pym. Ultron is obsessed with wiping out humanity and the Avengers, constantly evolving to become more powerful. The character's popularity grew when James Spader gave him a chilling voice in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," making him an even more iconic figure in the Marvel universe. Now, with Spader set to reprise his role in the upcoming "Vision Quest" series on Disney+, excitement for this issue is surging, making it a must-have for key collectors.

Amazing Spider-Man #300

Released in May 1988, Amazing Spider-Man #300 by David Michelinie and striking artwork by Todd McFarlane is a significant milestone in the Spider-Man universe, as Peter Parker faces off against Eddie Brock, who merges with an alien symbiote to become the formidable villain Venom. McFarlane's dynamic art brilliantly captures the intensity of their conflict and sets the stage for the complicated relationship between Spider-Man and Venom. Venom became one of Spider-Man's most iconic villains, featured in Spider-Man films and even starring in his own film series played by Tom Hardy. Excitement for this issue is at an all-time high among collectors, with the upcoming third (and presumably final) film in the Venom franchise, titled "Venom: The Last Dance."

Venom #3

Venom #3, released in 2018, introduced Knull, a powerful and ancient being who serves as the God of the Symbiotes. Knull's backstory is deeply intertwined with the origins of the symbiotes, having created them from the living darkness of the universe to wage war against the Celestials. His emergence in the comics has made him one of Venom's most formidable foes, challenging both Eddie Brock and the legacy of the symbiotes. The book debuts on the hot list as excitement builds following recent trailers for "Venom: The Last Dance" which have revealed that Knull will be the film's main villain.

Fantastic Four #48

Fantastic Four #48, published in March 1966, is a milestone in Marvel Comics history for introducing the Silver Surfer and a cameo appearance by Galactus (who would make his full appearance in the next issue). Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this issue marked the beginning of a cosmic saga within the Fantastic Four series. The Silver Surfer, herald to the planet-consuming cosmic entity Galactus, quickly became a fan-favorite with his silver skin, cosmic surfboard and philosophical outlook. Galactus, a colossal figure who devours planets to sustain himself, presented a formidable and morally complex antagonist. Both characters have since become integral parts of Marvel's cosmic mythology, and they are set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot planned for 2025.
