CGC Announces In-House Private Signing with Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Bagley and Randy Emberlin
Posted on 8/1/2025

CGC Signature Series is beyond excited to announce an exclusive In-House Private Signing with renowned comic book creators Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Bagley and Randy Emberlin! This group of creators are best known for their work on various Spider-Man titles.
Brian Michael Bendis is a Peabody Award-winning comics creator, and Amazon and New York Times bestseller, known for co-creating Miles Morales, Maria Hill, Naomi and dozens of other characters and stories that populate the Marvel, DC and all new original universes. He also co-created Jessica Jones, who was featured in the popular Netflix television series, leading to her team up with The Defenders and her upcoming appearance on Daredevil: Born Again, as well as Iron Heart, who recently appeared in her own Disney+ series.
At Marvel, Bendis completed historic runs on Spider-Man (18 years), Avengers (9 years), Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, a 100-issue run on the X-Men franchise, along with the wildly successful “event” projects: Avengers Versus X-Men, House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Age of Ultron, Civil War 2 and Siege.
Bendis made his DC debut with the landmark Action Comics 1000 and spent the next
few years with long-runs on Superman, Action Comics, Batman: Universe, Legion of
Superheroes, and Justice League, as well as curating Wonder Comics featuring the
return of Young Justice, Dial H for Hero, Wonder Twins and the breakout original
new character, Naomi.
He is currently writing Powers 25 —
the latest entry into his popular superhero crime story, hitting stands this
September by Dark Horse with some exciting cover artists.
Mark Bagley has had an incredible career as an artist, working for both Marvel and DC throughout the years. In the 2000s, he was credited as being one of the top ten artists of the decade. He is best known for his work on Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-man — the latter he worked on alongside Bendis. Their partnership on the 111-issue series holds the record for the longest uninterrupted run by a creative team in the comics industry. Bagley co-created one of the most memorable villains in the Spider-man universe, Carnage. He also put his spin on the iconic Venom, with his rendition becoming one familiar to every Spider-man fan.
After Marvel, Bagley worked on the Trinity series for DC Comics, which featured Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. He also worked on Batman and Justice League of America during his time with DC. Bagley returned to Marvel and worked on Avengers Assemble, All-New X-Men, The Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Venom.
Over the last 30 years, Randy Emberlin is best known for his work as an inker on over 4000 pages of comic art, with a resume that includes long runs for Marvel on Amazing Spider-Man (Co-Creator of Carnage, Maximum Carnage etc.) Web of Spider-Man (the Clone Saga), G.I. Joe, Doctor Strange, Strange Tales, and Alien Legion, plus additional work on the X-Men, Avengers, Punisher, Silver Surfer, She Hulk, the Defenders, Quicksilver, Captain America and Conan.
For Dark Horse he had long runs on Ghost, Star Wars: Crimson Empire II, Aliens and Predator, plus the R.I.P.D. graphic novel the movie is based on! For DC comics he has worked on Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight and Shadow of the Bat. Randy has worked with a wide range of pencilers and has many distinctive styles that fans are well acquainted with.
