CGC Celebrates Todd McFarlane’s Gunslinger #50 with a Special Offer for Collectors!

Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) and Todd McFarlane are gearing up for a guns-blazing celebration of Gunslinger #50 with a special offer that feels straight out of the Spawn vault. For a limited time, collectors can score an exclusive certificate of authenticity that doubles as an authorized CGC witness for the ultra-scarce 1:250 and 1:1,000 ratio variants hitting in December 2025.

This issue isn’t just another notch on the timeline. Gunslinger #50 is a full-tilt milestone, and these COAs are built to match the heat. The 1:250 variant features a stunning limited-edition cover and comes with its own COA, giving lucky collectors a special opportunity to submit it for CGC Signature Series certification during an exclusive submission window!

While the 1:250 edition is already considered a grail among collectors, the ultra-rare 1:1,000 variant is next level. Each 1:1,000 copy includes both the exclusive cover and an original sketch by Todd McFarlane himself or another renowned Spawn Universe artist — Jonathan Glapion, Carlo Barberi, Brett Booth, Stephen Segovia or Jason Shawn Alexander. There are three total COAs available that will verify the comic and the sketch separately, and the COAs will clearly state that the sketch is eligible for CGC certification.

For collectors submitting the sketches, they will be encapsulated in CGC’s print holder, ensuring these artists’ originals are certified and preserved for generations.

Important Submission Instructions

Submitting a signed comic

To receive a CGC Signature Series grade with the McFarlane COA variant, collectors MUST follow the steps below:

• Become a CGC member if you are not already.
• Email the CGC Signature Series team to notify them that you are submitting your Gunslinger #50 McFarlane COA variant. You will be provided with a form to complete.
• Keep the comic and COA together. The COA MUST be included with the variant when submitted to receive the CGC Signature Series grade.
• Include the completed form from the CGC Signature Series team in your package.
• Mark the outside of your shipping box with the initials TM on all sides.
• Ship directly to the CGC Signature Series team’s attention at the address below.

Submitting a signed sketch

Each sketch was created on 8½ x 11-inch Bristol paper and witnessed by CGC, making it eligible for CGC Signature Series encapsulation. Follow the steps below to submit your witnessed sketch.

1. Fill out the submission form.
2. Print your completed form.
3. Send your sketch and its accompanying COA and printed form to the CGC Signature Series team at the address below.

Once your sketch is received, it will be entered into your CGC account and returned to you with the official (and iconic) CGC Signature Series label — a fitting showcase for an incredible, limited-edition piece.
