International editions of Spider-Man and Flash are just some of the global grails available in the Heritage sale on November 13.

Whether you call them tebeos or fumetti or historietas, there are plenty of international comics that are graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) to be found in Heritage Auctions’ Foreign Comics Showcase Auction on November 13, 2025.

Among the international interests is a Spectacular Spider-Man #1 Mexican Edition graded CGC x JSA 8.0 signed by Stan Lee (lot 82189). Titled “El Soprendente Hombre Araña” when it was published by La Prensa in 1969, this comic features a cover by John Romita and a JSA-authenticated signature from Stan Lee. With the same striking painted cover as the US magazine, it showcased a more mature, dramatic take on Peter Parker and helped introduce readers in Mexico to a sophisticated new vision of Marvel storytelling at the time.

Also speeding through the auction is a Flash #105 Australian Edition graded CGC 7.5 (lot 82072). Published locally as The Hundred Comic Monthly #31, this anthology comic features stories originally printed in Flash #105 in 1959. This story marked the rebirth of the Scarlet Speedster for the Silver Age of Comics. Reviving the title after a decade-long hiatus, it starred Barry Allen, whose scientific origin and sleek new costume redefined the superhero genre. This particular Australian comic also included stories from Tomahawk #59, House of Secrets #1 and Batman #64.

CGC follows the same grading standards for international comics as it does for American comics. For some terrific examples of CGC-graded international comics, check out the CGC Gallery of Certified International Comic Books.
