CGC Announces Private Signing with Kyu Yong Eom

Posted on 11/19/2025

Kyu Yong Eom, the dynamic artist celebrated for his striking detail and cinematic compositions, is joining forces with CGC Signature Series for an exclusive signing event.

CGC Signature Series is excited to announce an exclusive signing with comic book artist Kyu Yong Eom. Known to fans simply as “Eom” or “Kyu,” he is a professional comic cover artist from South Korea with more than 25 years of experience in the art industry. Before turning his focus to comics, he spent 13 years as a concept designer in the video game world, creating characters and environments for major PC titles. In 2013, he transitioned to freelance illustration, contributing to projects across games, film, novels and collectible design.

Signature Examples

Since 2019, Kyu Yong Eom has dedicated his career to comic book covers, collaborating with top publishers. His work includes Poison Ivy, Superman, Aquaman, Justice League, Harley Quinn, Absolute Wonder Woman, Batman, Birds of Prey, Red Hood, Trinity Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Gotham City Sirens for DC Comics; Marian Heretic for Boom! Studios; Pop Kill for Mad Cave Studios; Gun Honey for Titan Comics; Witchblade and Street Fighter for Image Comics and Vampirella and Red Sonja for Dynamite Entertainment.

“My signature is a consistent design that represents my artistic identity — the stylized symbol you see across all of my works,” Kyu Yong Eom said. “However, when signing for fans or special editions, I often add creative decorations or variations around the core signature to match the tone or theme of each cover.

“The central mark itself (the ‘EOM’ symbol) never changes; what I modify are small visual elements surrounding it — such as colors, shapes or thematic icons — to create a more personal and collectible experience for each piece. For example, I might add a heart, star or comic-inspired motif to harmonize with the featured hero or story. These are not different signatures, but rather artistic embellishments built around my single, consistent signature design.

“This approach allows me to keep my signature recognizable and authentic while offering fans a unique artistic touch that reflects the spirit of each cover."

For this exclusive event, ALL CGC members, including free CGC members, can submit books directly to CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. CGC must receive all submissions for this event by February 27, 2026.
