Updated November 2025
Comprehensive Navigation
The CGC Population Report now offers a more structured and user-friendly way to explore CGC’s grading data. Collectors can navigate by category, then drill down through publisher, title and issue. Each level now displays total graded copies, including NG (No Grade), PG (Page Missing) and CVR (Coverless) designations. The new navigation system is designed for smoother performance and consistency across desktop and mobile devices, giving collectors a clearer path to the information they need.
Improved Search Functionality
The search system has been rebuilt for faster, more accurate results. Users can now search by title, issue number or keyword, with improved responsiveness and cleaner results. This upgrade lays the groundwork for future enhancements such as advanced sorting options and broader keyword recognition, helping collectors locate specific books or data points with ease.
New Filter Options
Filtering has been expanded to give collectors greater control over how they view the data. Searches can now be refined by grade or by variant versus non-variant editions. Early support for page quality filtering is also available, allowing users to focus on select data sets. Future updates will continue to expand these options, offering additional filters and customizable viewing preferences.
Page Quality Data
For the first time, collectors can explore page quality information directly within the CGC Population Report. This feature currently applies to CGC Signature Series and CGC x JSA books, providing valuable insight into paper preservation and grading trends. In the next phase, page quality data will expand to include all CGC-certified books for a more comprehensive overview of condition across the hobby.
CGC Signature Series and CGC x JSA Reporting
CGC Signature Series and CGC x JSA entries are now listed as distinct reporting categories, giving collectors a clearer view of how these books appear in the CGC Population Report. At present, counts combine all grading categories: Universal, Restored, Conserved and Qualified. An upcoming update will break these out individually for greater accuracy and detail.
